It is important to be gentle when cleaning the outside of the Hino engine liner as there is an oxide coating that prevents cavitation, cavitation occurs when vapor bubbles get trapped in between the cylinder liner and the bar. The little spot of cavitation does not call for a replacement of the cylinder liner. It can be treated with coolant additive. When you are inspecting the inside of the liner, look for uneven wear. there are hot spots in the liners.
